Marlon Vickerman serves as the Project and Communications Coordinator for the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health (IMPH). In this role, he supports the planning and execution of strategic communications initiatives, helping translate complex public health data into clear, compelling messaging that informs stakeholders and advances statewide health priorities.
Before joining IMPH, Mr. Vickerman served as the Communication and Marketing Coordinator at Richland First Steps, where he led efforts to strengthen the organization’s visibility and community engagement. In this role, he developed and executed communications strategies, managed social media platforms, and oversaw website content to ensure consistent, audience-centered messaging. He also led multimedia content production, including photography and video storytelling, and designed graphics and outreach materials to support community engagement initiatives. Through this work, he played a key role in positioning the organization as a trusted voice in early childhood education and public health.
Mr. Vickerman holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism.
