Roadmap Policy Director

Amy Weaver serves as the Roadmap Policy Director at the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health (IMPH), where she works to improve health outcomes by understanding and addressing nonmedical needs that influence health at the individual and community level. She joined IMPH in October 2025, bringing 15 years of experience in public health, food systems, and policy.

Amy has led and supported multiple statewide initiatives focused on addressing key factors that influence health, including access to healthy food. Most recently, she convened the Food is Medicine SC Committee, a statewide coalition of health care providers, community organizations, and government partners working to integrate healthy food access strategies into healthcare systems across the state. Along with partners, the Committee created the South Carolina Food Insecurity Risk Map, a tool that helps communities better understand and respond to food insecurity at the local level.

In addition to her statewide work, Amy served as co-chair of the City of Columbia Food Policy Council, where she gained hands-on experience supporting local policy efforts. She holds a Master of Science in Public Health and is passionate about advancing lasting improvements in public health across South Carolina.
