“Three Year Update-Long-Term Care Taskforce” provides a brief status update on the processes and structure developed to help achieve the 30 recommendations to improve our state’s system of long-term services and supports that are outlined in June 2015’s “Creating Direction: A Guide for Improving Long-Term Care in South Carolina.”
The taskforce effort and the publication of the report galvanized stakeholders and brought new focus to the growing demands for long-term services and supports. Through the Long-Term Care Implementation Leadership Council, IMPH continues in its convening role to bring about positive change for the older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers who rely on the long-term care (LTC) system. The council is working to keep focused attention on LTC needs and spur collaborative action in implementing the recommendations put forth by the taskforce.
