Clarence Sevillian

Executive Vice President and COO, Prisma Health

Mr. Sevillian is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Prisma Health. Sevillian oversees all operations for the organization’s acute, medical group/ambulatory and post-acute areas. He joined Prisma Health in August 2021.

Mr. Sevillian came to Prisma Health from McLaren Health Care, a fully integrated system that includes 15 hospitals in Michigan and Ohio, an employed physician network, commercial and Medicaid HMOs, and Michigan’s largest network of cancer centers. He most recently served as president of the system’s Northern Region. In this role, Mr. Sevillian helped position the system toward a population health strategy while leading expansion and integration efforts for six hospitals.

He began his career at McLaren Regional Medical Center in 1998 as a physical therapist. During his more than two decades with the system, Mr. Sevillian served in numerous senior leadership roles, including director of business development and vice president of operations. Committed to leading by example, inspiring others to achieve their full potential, and advocating for the health and well-being of the community, Mr. Sevillian strives to foster a culture of trust and teamwork among physicians and team members through communication and inclusiveness in decision making.

Mr. Sevillian earned a bachelor’s degree with a major in mathematics from Vanderbilt University. He also received a bachelor’s degree with a major in health sciences and a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from the University of Michigan–Flint. He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Lawrence Technological University.

Mr. Sevillian is an active member of several community and health-related boards, including CPS Client Advisory Board (Pharmacy), America’s Essential Hospitals Strategic Planning Committee, ATI Physical Therapy, Prisma Health Urgent Care by WellStreet, Prisma Health Ambulatory Surgery Center and Prisma Heath Orthopedic Surgery Center.

He and his wife, Arteka, have two grown daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising and traveling.
