The South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health (IMPH) released a policy brief that identifies priorities for improving rural health outcomes in South Carolina. Beyond the Clinical Encounter: Supporting Pandemic Recovery and Improving Rural Health highlights opportunities including supporting medical-legal partnerships, expanding telehealth capabilities, improving health communications, building health care capacity in medically underserved areas, and investing in mental health in rural communities.
