The South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health (IMPH) is seeking a graduate assistant (GA) or intern to support research, taskforce planning, and administrative tasks for IMPH’s Health Policy Fellows Program and literature reviews and analysis in preparation for a taskforce that will begin in January 2020.

The individual in this role will work 20 hours per week in our Columbia office at 1301 Gervais Street, Suite 300, between September 2019 and December 2019, with the potential to work into spring for a qualified candidate.

Key activities include reviewing and summarizing current research on population health and health care access; providing support for a series of legislative seminars and other events related to the initiative; and supporting communications with key partners and stakeholders.

Those with a bachelor’s degree may apply, but graduate students and those holding graduate degrees are preferred.

This position requires an individual who has excellent written communication skills, is self-guided, flexible, detail-oriented and demonstrates a high level of professionalism.
