Leadership and Staff
As Executive Director of the South Carolina Institute of Medicine and Public Health, Ms. Pack works with the Board of Directors to provide vision and strategic direction to the Institute and oversees daily operations. Ms. Pack joined the IMPH team in 2009 and has a diverse background that includes working in strategic planning in the hospital setting, consulting for various non-profit and health care organizations and developing programs and informing policies to improve the quality of health care provided in South Carolina.
Mr. Freeman brings to this role extensive career experience in health care leadership combined with a solid understanding of the broad determinants of health. Mr. Freeman’s active engagement with leaders across South Carolina will ensure a consistent focus on health issues among the decision makers of our state.
Finance and Operations Coordinator
Mr. Centeno brings over seven years of experience in the operations, business and accounting fields to IMPH. In his role as Finance and Operations Coordinator, Mr. Centeno plans, coordinates and performs administrative and financial management, daily office operations and support activities.
Elána R. Frazier, MS PM serves as IMPH’s Project Coordinator. Ms. Frazier brings several years of experience in developing effective strategies and processes. In her position, Ms. Frazier oversees operations of the Long-Term Care Leadership Council. Additionally, she will author and oversee the production and dissemination of the Behavioral Health Progress Report, manage relationships with the Leadership Council, Behavioral Health Coalition and other key stakeholder groups.
Ms. Hunt brings in-depth knowledge of population health, policy, government and communications to IMPH. Ms. Hunt plans, convenes and manages taskforces at the Institute. She also authors taskforce reports and leads communications at IMPH. Ms. Hunt has worked for the US House of Representatives, researched and advocated for health care policy and legislation in DC and worked with an award-winning population health collaborative advising health systems on transitioning from fee-for-service to value-based payment models.
Legislative Initiatives Coordinator
Mr. Sox brings several years of comprehensive knowledge of policy development, government relations and strategic communications to IMPH. In his role as Legislative Initiatives Coordinator, Mr. Sox represents IMPH with members of the General Assembly, their staff and other elected officials to increase the institute’s visibility and credibility as the go-to resource for nonpartisan information to inform health policy. He provides insight and guidance related to serving policymakers and plans and oversees the ongoing development and delivery of all aspects of the Health Policy Fellows Program at the state and local level.
