Legislative Initiatives Coordinator

Mr. Sox brings more than 3 years of comprehensive knowledge of policy development, government relations and strategic communications to IMPH.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Mr. Sox has a diverse background with experience ranging from strategic campaign management to government relations and administrative services. During his time with the South Carolina House of Representatives, Mr. Sox assisted members of the House, and their staff, in preparation for Legislative Session, managed Pages to ensure efficient flow of Legislative Session and was a courier between the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate.

In his role as Legislative Initiatives Coordinator, Mr. Sox represents IMPH with members of the General Assembly, their staff and other elected officials to increase the institute’s visibility and credibility as the go-to resource for nonpartisan information to inform health policy. He provides insight and guidance related to serving policymakers to the Executive Director and Associate Executive Director and plans and oversees the ongoing development and delivery of all aspects of the Health Policy Fellows Program at the state and local level.
