Provide Input for Healthy People 2030
Healthy People provides science-based, 10-year national objectives for improving the health of all Americans. For 3 decades, Healthy People has established benchmarks and monitored progress over time in order to:
- Encourage collaborations across communities and sectors.
- Empower individuals toward making informed health decisions.
- Measure the impact of prevention activities.
The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion needs your help in spreading the word about the opening of public comment for the proposed framework of Healthy People 2030. Every 10 years, through the Healthy People initiative, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) leverages scientific insights and lessons from the past decade along with new knowledge of current data, trends, and innovations to develop the next iteration of national health promotion and disease prevention objectives. HHS is seeking public written comments on the Healthy People 2030 framework, which includes the Healthy People 2030 vision, mission, foundational principles, plan of action, and overarching goals. Shareable materials regarding the Healthy People 2030 vision are now available to the public and the public comment period will be open from June 27, 2017, through September 29, 2017.
