IMPH Presents at the Association for Commuter Transportation International Conference

Ms. Maya Pack presented on a health impact assessment at the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT) International Conference on July 31, 2012 in Savannah, GA.  Ms. Pack’s presentation, A Health Impact Assessment (HIA) on a Proposed “Road Diet” and Re-Striping Project In Spartanburg, SC, may be downloaded below.

According to it’s website, ACT “is an international trade association that supports individual mobility management professionals and organizations in their efforts to reduce traffic congestion, conserve energy and improve air quality.”   The conference, attended by academic researchers, Transportation Management Associations, employers, urban and rural transportation systems, federal, state and local government administrators provided a venue to share the cross-collaborative work and benefits of health impact assessments.
