Healthy Insights Grant Program

The South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development (SCACED) is pleased to announce the launch of Healthy Insights Midlands (HIM), an initiative to support community health and development projects in underserved areas of Lexington and Richland Counties. Through the support of the Nord Family Foundation, Healthy Insights Midlands will provide $5,000 in funding for each of four (4) short-term projects.

Eligible projects will advance the goals of the Healthy Insights Initiative: to improve the health and socioeconomic conditions of underserved, low-access communities. These efforts may address issues related to food, physical activity, education, economic opportunity, and other factors connected with health outcomes.

In order to familiarize grant applicants with the Healthy Insights online data tool (www.healthyinsight.org) and with the Healthy Insights Midlands grant process, SCACED will host an informational meeting at United Way of the Midlands on October 4th.

Here are the meeting details:

Date: Wednesday, October 4th
Time: 10:00-11:30am
Location: United Way of the Midlands, 1818 Blanding Street, Columbia, SC 29201

Organizations who wish to apply for grant funding must have a representative present at this event.
