Closing the Word Gap to Improve Health

An article recently published in The Atlantic outlines Georgia’s new program, “Talk with Me Baby,” designed to close the 30 million word gap found between kids born in low-income and affluent households. Research shows that education is related to living healthier, longer lives and the most effective action parents can take to increase their baby’s educational opportunities and future success is to talk with their babies.  Learn more about this program by reading the article.
